We currently assemble plastic valves for a Kanban delivery customer. Made in either clear cast acrylic or PVC, the valve contains 17 parts, 6 of which we manufacture, and all of which we stock in anticipation of order releases.

As the project has progressed over the last three years and through thousands of assemblies, we have reduced throughput times to the point that we can manufacture, from scratch, a lot of almost 100 entire valve assemblies within the 5 day window we are allowed. We try not to cut it that close, but we can do it because of the efficiencies in inventory management and manufacturing that we have achieved.

We have made these improvements in spite of more and more rigorous testing all along the production process. Our customer desired to improve quality and make up for some of their design deficiencies. We were happy to accommodate them while designing better assembly and test methods. All of our upgrading was done at no additional cost to our customer.
